Growing up, my grandparents owned a country Western bar, and I would spend hours watching the women in my family transform into seductive women. I learned how to walk under a honky-tonk disco ball and how to talk over the thumping bass of a jukebox, which have shaped the soul of who I am. Living in the middle of nowhere taught me that with creativity and imagination, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

My childhood was spent running through forests and lost in fashion magazines. These experiences shaped my identity and curated my taste.

My journey into makeup began with a single book gifted to me by a friend. After graduating from photography school in 2001, I could not find work and had shift my perspective. My knowledge of lighting portraits from college and my natural artistic talent led me to start charging my friends for makeup services for their photo shoots. This eventually led me to work for MAC in the heart of New York City.

During my time at MAC in the early 2000s, my skills were refined, and doors that seemed impossible were opened. Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of working on Fashion Week, collaborating with celebrities, participating in campaigns, and even creating circus makeup. Currently, I am a Senior Manager of artistry for Saie Beauty, a role that perfectly aligns with my views and aspirations.

Why men’s makeup? Beauty companies struggle to market grooming products to the average man, and many men feel uncomfortable in the beauty space. There are so many more options available than just 10-in-1 body washes and dumbed-down razor ads. In the beauty world, marketing is key, and it’s often tailored to women. So, I’m here to help answer questions and make customer-tailored recommendations.
